Guoqing Temple, Tiantai Shan, Zhejiang |
My 11th trip took me through the mountains of Zhejiang, and especially to the famous Tiantai Shan, home to an esoteric Buddhist sect (known in Japan as Tendai).
After I had finished planning for this trip, I got a call from a good Indian friend--who shall be known here only as "Mr. Deep"--asking if he could tag along. I was surprised when, after sending him my flight and hotel information, he was able to make parallel arrangements. I wasn't used to traveling with anyone other than my wife Lila, but I sure enjoyed splitting the taxi fares with someone!
The posts are separated by site (for easier linking), instead of being all jammed into one album as they were on Facebook. And in an unblog-like manner, they run chronologically from top to bottom.
Incidentally, here's a brief itinerary for Trip 11 on my Key Temples archive.
Enjoy!
