Trip 19--my last to date, and, at 14 days, the longest time I was on the road--took me from Datong through Wutaishan to Taiyuan, all in the northern half of Shanxi Province, one of the most northwesterly areas in the traditionally Han-occupied area of China. At the end, I took a couple of side trips out of Shijiazhuang in Hebei Province.
